The Duster Jacket

Hey everyone! Happy Sunday, hope you had a wonderful weekend! I ran the TC10K this morning for the first time (woohoo)! It’s been something I’ve had on my bucket list for quite a while now, I am so happy to have finally accomplished it! Did any of you in Victoria run it as well?:)

Moving on to fashion. I think today’s post is my FAVOURITE outfit I’ve done so far here on Leopard Couture! A.k.a. I am super super excited to share it with you!!:D I’ve gone to Van twice in the last month, and every time I go I’m inspired by their street style. I find my style constantly evolving every visit, and today’s look is definitely what I’m currently digging!

To start off, let’s talk about The Duster Jacket. The duster is a long, loose fitting, light-weight jacket, that I am OBSESSED with! Trust me, they are a staple for your wardrobe that’ll keep you looking fresh and fabulous this Spring! Great for layering, the duster will instantly vamp up your ensemble. Dress it up with heels or dress it down with some boat shoes or slip on sneakers and you’ll have heads turning back your way;) Although dusters are usually quite long in length (anywhere from a couple inches above your knee to a maxi length) don’t let that be a reason to shy away from them, even if you’re a shorty (like me)!;) You can still rock it! I’m pairing my beige, high side slit duster with my new soft pants from Dynamite. Printed pants -I’ve mentioned before- are a fun way to add some personality and flavour to your look. Make sure to give them a try this Spring or Summer!

For my heels and clutch, I actually had my eye on these beauties when they first came out..but I was patient and got them both on sale for 50% off..SCORE! The heels are 4inches but are very comfortable thanks to the ankle straps. They go with so many things in my closet, I will definitely be reaching for them a lot this season! As for the clutch…it’s leopard print..should I say anymore?:P

Since I’ve been into the whole simple/ soft look lately, I stuck with a darker nude lip and no jewelry (well..other than my watch). To complete the look, I painted my nails in the shade Privileged by Revlon for a pop of colour! It is Spring after all;)
