Helloooo my loves! What’s everyone getting up to this Easter long weekend? I was fortunate enough to get it off work, so I’m planning to hit up the Plenty Warehouse Sale, gym, film, clean my apartment, go to a friend’s bday dinner and if it’s sunny on Sunday go hiking or golfing!:)
Today I wanted to share 6 ways you can spice up your classic white button-up! I’m sure many of you already own one, but if you don’t ladies, I recommend you pick one up ASAP this Spring. Look for one that is a little over-sized with a soft fabric. If yours is a little stiff, try throwing it in the dryer for a bit. Not too long though, you don’t want it to shrink. ;) Alright, let’s jump into my 6 styling TIPS!
Tip 1: Tie it in a knot. This will give you that casual/ laid-back look! Plus if you want to show a little skin for those warmer days it’s perfect! ;)
Tip 2: Rock the half tuck. I LOVEEE this look! It’s so effortless and put together. Just unbutton the last 2-3 buttons and tuck one side in- I prefer the side without the buttons!
Tip 3: Roll up the sleeves. Seems pretty basic, but it’ll give you a more relaxed feel to your outfit.
Tip 4: Add some arm candy! Now that you’ve rolled up your sleeves, your wrist is looking a little bare, so a nice stack of jewelry is always a good idea! My go-to lately has been my Marc Bale watch and The Peach Box bangle! They pair so nicely together, and I have been obsessed with silver accessories lately! I think I have switched sides hehe (sorry gold!) PS: Both Marc Bale and The Peach Box have 30% OFF right now for the Easter weekend! Use their code Easter-Flash-30 :)
Tip 5: Throw on a sexy bralette under your button-up. I’m wearing one of those 2 strap bralettes just to have it peak through a little! #HELLO ;)
Tip 6: Style it with edgier pieces. Think leather jackets (vest in my case), ripped jeans, leather skirt, oversized denim jackets, chunky ankle boots, etc.
That’s it for today folks! Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll talk to you in my next one!:) – Mitra

it’s crazy the difference just rolling up the sleeves of a woven shirt can make, I can’t not roll up my sleeves now! Love how you’ve styled this look! Chic but understated and cool!
